Cha Dao: The Way of Tea

Community Tea Ceremony held in Mancos, Colorado.

Cha Do, or the Way of Tea, is a practice… we invite in and honor tea and its tradition through ceremony. This practice emphasizes mindfulness, patience, and appreciation for the natural world, as each step of the ceremony is performed with intention.

“Tea - is a pause - in order to take a longer journey.”

Together we sit in silence with high-quality teas, such as oolong or puerh, observing the changing flavors and opening to wisdom from the old growth trees. Tea ceremony not only fosters a sense of community among participants but also serves as a reminder of the beauty in simplicity and the joy of savoring each moment.

When we sit in ceremony, we practice slowing down, becoming quiet, and mindfully enjoying tea. We let go of daily tensions and deepen our connection with ourselves, with one another and with Nature. In the process, we make space for wisdom and clarity to enter.

Join me and guest servers for weekly tea sits or email to schedule a private ceremony.

A note on pricing: I offer donation based and fixed price ceremony. Tea ceremony is a practice and cannot be bought or sold. We come together as students of tea and our inner wisdom. Your contribution and exchange go to keep the space warm, purchase tea and keep the offering alive in the community for all.
